SpinKit is built on a simple idea: the everyday moments where you need to pick something at random — who goes first, which name gets drawn, how to split a group into fair teams — deserve a tool that is fast, fair and pleasant to use. SpinKit brings those tools together in one place, free for everyone.

The aim

SpinKit tries to give people a single, dependable home for every kind of random pick, whether it's a teacher running a classroom draw, a streamer giving away prizes, a manager splitting a workshop into groups, or a family deciding what to watch tonight. The goal is to take the friction and the arguing out of "let's just pick one" — and replace it with a spin everyone can see and trust.

What SpinKit does

SpinKit brings together the randomisers people reach for most, each designed to feel instant and fair:

• Spin wheels for names, raffles, prizes and decisions.
• Slot reels for quick random combinations.
• Spin Sheets to draw random rows from your own columns, CSV or Excel (XLSX), including files exported from Google Sheets.
• Team picker to split any list into balanced, editable teams.
• Live rooms so a whole group can watch the same spin together, with chat and shared control.

What SpinKit stands for

• Free and open to all. Every core tool works without an account, with no paywall on the things that matter.
• Fair by design. Spins use genuine random selection, and the result happens in the open where everyone can see it.
• Local-first and private. Your wheels and lists live in your own browser by default — accounts and cloud saves are there only when you want them.
• Works anywhere. SpinKit runs in any modern browser, and the desktop app is available as an offline, ad-free download.

Who's behind SpinKit

SpinKit is an independent project designed and maintained by Callum Oulds, a solo developer based in the United Kingdom. There is no larger company behind it, which keeps development focused and support direct: every feature, fix and reply to [email protected] comes from the person who builds the app.

Keeping it free

SpinKit is built by Callum Oulds in the UK as an independent, solo project. The website may show a small number of unobtrusive manual ads on written pages. Presentation Mode hides ads and chrome while presenting. The desktop download can remain ad-free — the website is not. See the Privacy Policy.
